Pgolf’s director of coaching Belgian born Greg Haenen began playing the game at the tender age of just twelve. Turning professional in 1991, he began his career here in Kent, at the famous Princes Golf Club. He became a ‘qualified’ PGA Golf Professional in 1995 and played the European Challenge Tour. In 2002 he decided to concentrate in his coaching. He was appointed Kent PGA Captain for the 2004/5 season. Greg’s motto is “Keep relaxed & tension free, this will improve your shots & lower your scores”. He has all the certificates required to coach all age groups and abilities and is a Kent Golf Partnership Coach.
Jamie started playing golf seriously at 23 and having worked hard to get his handicap down to the required standard, he moved down to Kent from Leeds in February 2007 to fulfil his dream of becoming a PGA Professional. Having successfully completed the foundation degree, Jamie now intends to continue in his passion for bringing people from all walks of life into golf and bringing on the next generation of budding golfer, while also keeping some time available to fulfil his playing ambitions.
Nick started playing at the age of 16 at Littlestone Golf Club. He has proved himself as an amateur by winning numerous Interclub Competitions, including the prestigious Mayors Cup Trophy, becoming the youngest ever winner. He turned professional at the age of 18 at Hythe Imperial and did his training during the past 4 years. He has now recently passed his degree to become fully qualified PGA Professional and is eager to join the ‘team’ at Boughton to further his careeer as coach. His playing highlight to this date is winning the Hythe Imperial Pro-Am 2009 with a course record 63
During his 15 years as a Golf Professional, both playing and coaching, Tim has worked closely with many leading coaches having played on the European Tour and Challenge Tour as well as winning the Kent Open and Kent PGA. Tim has a excellent knowledge of the golf swing and has the skill levels to demonstrate both on the range and during playing lessons.
Paul started learning to play Golf from the age of five and as a junior won the Kent under 16’s championship two years running. He turned Professional at the age of eighteen and has over twelve years experience as a PGA Professional Golfer, with tournament wins and top ten finishes. He teach golfers of all ages and abilities and has a vast product knowledge from custom fitting.
Following a successful amateur career, Steve turned pro in 2004. His amateur career included winning the Kent Boys in 1997, Kent Youths in 2001 and represented the Kent Mens 1st Team from 1999 until 2004. Since turning pro, he has concentrated his attention to coaching and is currently the Kent Boys Under 18, the Kent Girls coach, a Kent County Regional Coach and Kent Golf Partnership coach. He enjoys success with the players every year”.
Steve is a fully qualified PGA Professional for over 35 years, amassing a wealth of experience and knowledge, coaching golfers of all abilities both home and abroad, from promising young players to national champions. He also was a Kent County regional coach 1994-97. Steve holds all the appropriate documentation, certificates and qualifications required for coaching all age groups.
Bruce started playing golf at the age of 12. He has won the Etchinghill Junior Club Championship and Etchinghill Mens Club Championship in the same year in 2005. He turned professional when he was 18 and successfully attended and passed his 1st and 2nd year at the PGA Training Academy. He is now a PGA Coach Level 2 and wants to further his coaching career while also concentration on his playing.
